In order to protect our customers as fully
as possible, The Annabel Chaffer Collection takes all
email security issues very seriously.
We normally receive email addresses from
customers through their encrypted orders, which are received
by SSL secure servers. The servers concerned are used by most
of the leading dealing-rooms in the City of London for processing
deals between parties, both within the UK but overseas as well,
particularly in North America. The level of security demanded
by such institutions should give some comfort to all our genuine
customers who wish to buy items through the Annabel Chaffer
on-line catalogue. However, whilst we have taken reasonable
measures to ensure the safety of email addresses, we cannot
anticipate unknown methods to attempt to steal such email addresses.
Therefore, we cannot accept responsibility for any email addresses
stolen outside our business.
All emails sent and received by The Annabel
Chaffer Collection pass through two levels of security/virus
checking prior to being received by our customers and us. These
virus checks are carried out independently by a third party
using very highly regarded and sophisticated software, not normally
available to the general public. The email environment is being
constantly monitored for new viruses and any anti-virus software
is written and made available by the software specialists soon
after a new virus is detected, often within hours of first detection.
The email servers that we use check every ten minutes for up-dated
anti-virus software changes.
Customers should satisfy themselves of the
degree of security provided by their Internet Service Provider
(ISP) and ensure that emails sent to them by The Annabel
Chaffer Collection cannot be corrupted by viruses, or stolen,
on 'the last leg of the journey'.
